Seventh place for Kyle Smith in the WSSP round in Argentina

The English rider Kyle Smith, who uses the Caberg Drift Evo helmet after a good start, finished in seventh place.

The eleventh and penultimate round of the Supersport World Championship took place at the brand-new San Juan El Villicum circuit in Argentina. The English rider Kyle Smith, who uses the Caberg Drift Evo helmet, was immediately competitive in practice and qualified directly for Superpole2. In Superpole the Honda rider got the eighth place and therefore he started from the third row in the race on Sunday. After a good start, Smith remained close to the leading group but a drop in tyre performance in the final phase of the race forced him to finish in seventh place.

It was a difficult weekend for Ayrton Badovini, mainly due to technical problems that affected his MV Agusta F3 in Argentina. During the practice sessions the Caberg rider took part in Superpole1, finishing third and missing the qualification for Superpole2. In the race, starting from the fifth row of the grid, Badovini made a good comeback that led him not far from the leading group, but a technical problem forced him to reduce his pace in the final stages and he finished in eleventh place.

The next and final round of the Supersport World Championship will be held in the weekend of 25-27th October at the Losail circuit, in Qatar.
