Whether for business or pleasure, for long or short commute, we do wear our beloved helmet very often and under different weather conditions<\/strong>. Although the inner liner and comfort padding are more protected than the outer shell, they are still exposed to dust, dirt, and liquids.<\/p>\n

Considering for example the summer season, we tend to often sweat while wearing the helmet, causing the lining fabrics to absorb all the sweat, dirt and oil; or if it\u2019s not possible to store the helmet in the under seat, it may get wet due to rain.<\/p>\n

The use of the helmet leads the inner liner and paddings inevitably to get dirty, therefore it\u2019s necessary to clean it properly and regularly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

First of all, you should know that taking good care of your helmet is not difficult as you may think, and with this article we aim to clarify all your doubts.<\/p>\n

First step: How to remove the inner liner<\/h2>\n

All Caberg helmets<\/a>\u00a0are equipped with removable and washable linings. The first thing to do, is to remove the inner liner by following the specific instructions of the user manual provided for all our helmet models.<\/p>\n

Second step: How to clean the inner liner and padding<\/h2>\n

The neck padding, the liner, and the cheek pads should be washed by hand<\/strong> with:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Mild soap
\n–\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Water temperatures should not exceed 30\u00b0C
\n–\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Rinse the liner and paddings with cold water
\n–\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Set it out to air dry<\/p>\n

Third step: How to install the liner and paddings<\/h2>\n

Once the liner and padding are completely dry, you can install them back on the helmet.<\/p>\n

If you follow the instructions of the user manual it\u2019s going to be a very easy operation.<\/p>\n
