Great performance by the Caberg riders in the Civ races at Mugello
The ninth and tenth round of CIV –Italian championship took place last weekend at the Mugello circuit. During the two days of racing the Caberg riders, wearing the Drift Evo super-sports helmet, were great players and collected a total of six podiums, with three victories. When only two races are missing at the end of the championship, Matteo Ferrari, Massimo Roccoli, and Luca Bernardi are in full struggle for the title of Italian champion.

One first and one second place are the fantastic results that Matteo Ferrari has achieved in the two Superbike races at Mugello. Started from the front row in race 1, Matteo was overtaken only by Michele Pirro, thus reaching the second step of the podium. The following day, Ferrari got the better of all his rivals, winning by a margin. In the championship standings, the Caberg rider is in first place with 187 points.

Despite an eye issue causing him many problems both in practice and in the race, Massimo Roccoli managed to finish the race on Saturday in seventh place, just few seconds from the winner. Sunday has struggled for a long time in the leading group crossing the line in third place. In the championship standings he took third place with 148 points, just 4 points from the first.

The young rider Raffaele Fusco (16 years old) was one of the stars of the Moto3 race at Mugello. Starting from the third row, the Caberg driver closed the first race in fifth place and the second in sixth, not far from the first. Raffaele occupies the fourth place in the championship standings, with 124 points.

Luca Bernardi
intends to confirm himself as Italian champion of the Supersport 300 and has demonstrated this at Mugello. At the wheel of his Yamaha R3 Luca has led both races in the leading group, always fighting for the victory. On Saturday he was unlucky and in the final sprint he finished third. On the other hand, on Sunday he managed to pull his rivals out in the final lap and won his third season race. In the championship standing Bernardi occupies the second place with 150 points, 24 points from the first place.

After a difficult start to the season Simone Saltarelli finally found a good form and a competitive bike that allowed him to win the National Trophy 1000 race held at Mugello. After an exceptional comeback, Simone reached the leading group and in a few laps he took the lead going to win his first race of the season. In the National Trophy standings the Caberg rider is seventh with 34 points.

The next CIV Italian championship event will be held in the weekend of 6-7 October at Vallelunga circuit.
